![]() ![]() Your patrol should consist of destroyers with radar, a light gun, a dual purpose gun, and lots of torpedoes. In terms of 1:1 fighting directly, without strategically controlling regions but rather tactically defeating their fleets/task forces, you ideally will have task forces of two patrol fleets with one heavy strike force, and one carrier/heavy force if you can afford the additional production. Doing this for example, you can dominate large stretches of ocean with convoy escorts, and only a couple strike forces. Much like forcing the enemy to spread out their divisions to cover fronts you don't care about pushing, to which they either protect it and leave another front more vulnerable, or they don't and you push that front. ![]() If you read the historical background on the naval doctrines for instance, I'll focus on fleet in being for example, this was a doctrine that operated under the notion that you aren't required to engage the enemy fleet in an area to win naval supremacy, but simply being able to engage them in the naval area forces them to retain forces there. ![]() To start there are A LOT of ways your navy can 'win' against the enemy. ![]()
